for tack rooms, lounges and living quarters
Built in our shop, the cabinets below reflect the style of a bygone era -
The project is a new timber frame and stone barn designed and built to look
100+ years old. These cabinets features Shaker doors and drawer fronts,
furniture legs and soapstone counters with a soapstone apron-front sink.
Below - another custom kitchen that blends seamlessly into its historic surroundings.
Features include tongue and groove Shaker panel doors and backsplash, drawers
with bin pulls and open corner cupboards for added country charm.
Below - perfect for the lounge in a historic barn
Shaker style cabinets custom made to fit between the old stone and the new
plaster walls. Black finish coat distressed to reveal red underglaze.
Below - another example of a beautiful full kitchen in a recently-completed
timber frame barn. The barn is a family gathering and recreation center,
and the kitchen is open to the large lounge and living space.
Simple custom-made Shaker-style cabinets are accented with glass front
doors; the refrigerator is covered and the overall look is enhanced with
a clean, historic style hardware and barn style lighting.
Below - custom kitchen and pantry cabinets in an all-new barn with
a historic look. Modified Shaker style, black iron hardware, cabinets
are stained and poly coated.
Tack room kitchen (below) - lots of storage behind the Shaker doors,
granite countertop, bin pull hardware and a clean, creamy white finish
combine to make this kitchen both attractive and practical.
Sometimes a small bank of cabinets is all that's needed. This tack room cabinet
has a deep stainless steel sink and a high gooseneck faucet for tack cleaning,
with appliances located on each end of the countertop. Painting the wood
wainscot and the cabinet in the same color unifies the design.
Perfect for the barn that doesn't need a full kitchen, but wants a handy place
to put the coffee pot, some cold beverages and a small pantry for storage.
We located this one across from the wash/groom stalls -- it was built on site
by our skilled crew.
Laundry Room Cabinets
Below - Black iron hardware with turn-style latches and bin pulls is the perfect
choice for these Shaker cabinet doors. An off-white finish, black granite counter
top and an old-fashioned bridge faucet complete the look. The tumbled brick
paver floor and pine walls are both attractive and practical.
Perfectly proportioned and custom-made to fit, these douglas fir & mahogany
storage cabinets (below) are an attractive and useful addition to the barn's
cross aisle. They keep the vet and grooming supplies clean, organized and
easily accessible from the wash/groom area.
Custom-made, built-in tack trunks and storage cabinets (below) line the entire
aisle of this 8-stall barn. Each stall has its own storage space for blankets,
boots and other equipment, keeping everything handy, but neat, clean and
off the aisle.
Below - old barn wood has been re-purposed to make this custom vanity for the
bathroom in a historic barn. The counter top is made from re-milled timbers;
the addition of a vessel sink and a pump handle style faucet completes the look.
Notice how the barn board and the countertop have been carefully scribed into
the stone wall.
Beautifully made from cabinet-quality tongue & groove pine, our standard
grain bin is 8 ft long, lined with metal and divided into 2 or 4 compartments.
These bins will accommodate standard 30 gal galvanized cans, making it
easier to rotate feed and clean the containers; or, you may prefer to put
grain directly into the bin. The metal liner cleans quickly.
We also make 4 ft bins and 6 ft bins, or we'll custom design one to fit your
grain room. Grain bins can be free-standing or built-in.
Groom's Boxes and Cabinets
Hide the vacuum, organize the grooming totes -- cabinets are a great addition
to the grooming area and can be designed and sized to fit your storage needs.
With the individual bins, each horse's brushes can be kept separate, as
well as their cottons and wraps, which can prevent problems in a busy barn.
