Merv, John and Elmer King started King Construction in 1978. After a number of years working directly in in the field, the company grew to the point that the brothers were needed in the office. Today Merv oversees all project scheduling; he does the take-offs for many of the King projects and, in addition, he provides on-site project management when needed. He and his brother John share the responsibilities of overseeing crew training and foreman development. Merv and his wife Carolyn have five children - three girls and two boys. |

Eli is a project supervisor with on-going project assignments that range from CT to VA. Beginning in 1990 when Eli joined King, he brought his considerable carpentry skills and a natural talent for organizing the job. He was promoted to foreman in 1994 and then to project supervisor. Eli comes from a family of good carpenters - his brothers live out-of-state, but have often been brought in when King has been in need of an additional crew of skilled carpenters. (We think it's no coincidence that Zimmerman means carpenter in German) Eli and his wife Ellen have four children, two sons, and two daughters - Kayleen, Zachary, Shirene and Darren. |
