Porches

Porches
are both beautiful and tremendously useful in a horse facility.

They give the horses added shelter from wind, snow, rain and sun; they form connections from one
building to another, often saving time and labor.  They also provide additional space for relaxing
or entertaining.

Our porches have finished ceilings and trim detail, or we use timbers and planking to form the ceiling.
Support posts can be large timbers or, if we use standard pressure treated posts, we wrap them to
improve their appearance.

See some beautiful examples of our porches below:

finished cedar
ceilings with ceiling fans, slate floor

This porch adds to the southern charm of the barn!
Notice the "sun line" on the Dutch doors - the porch lets
in plenty of light, but shades the horses.

This porch is just outside the tack room -- a great place to
relax after a ride, and it has a view of the paddocks.  The
columns are wrapped, the ceiling is cedar and the decking is mahoghany.

This porch features wrapped columns with architectural
details, a cedar ceiling and scored concrete floor.
