John King

Area: Pennsylvania

John and his two brothers, Merv & Elmer, started King Construction in 1978.

During the early years, he and his brothers, all skilled carpenters, worked in the field and did all of the building.

Today he oversees all of the project pricing and bidding; he also provides creative solutions for design or construction problems.

John and his wife Kathy have five children – two girls and three boys.

Jensen King

Area: Pennsylvania

King Construction is a family owned business. Jensen King is a member of our second generation.  He is the son of John and Kathy King and has 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

Jensen is a consultant and is often the first contact our clients have the pleasure of making when designing.

Jensen and his wife, Olivia, have been married since 2018.

Dean Hoover

Area: Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia

Dean joined the sales/design team in the Spring of 2003 and works in the Mid-Atlantic states from
Pennsylvania to Virginia.

Dean and his wife Mary Ann have two grown children and live south of Annville, PA in Lebanon County.

He has designed some beautiful equestrian facilities and can assist you in making your building concepts
become reality. He will work closely with you to ensure that your dream barn is both functional and cost effective.

Eli Zimmerman

Area: New Jersey, Delaware, Connecticut and New York, including Long Island

Eli has been with King for 26 years, beginning his career as a carpenter.
His abilities and leadership skills soon became apparent, and he was promoted to foreman and then to project supervisor.

Eli has supervised many of King’s largest and most complex projects, and he is skilled in the design of barns, arenas and accessory buildings for large and small equestrian facilities.

His buildings are practical, beautiful and, most of all, buildable. His extensive building background is also extremely valuable for renovations, restorations and problem solving.

Eli, his wife Ellen and their children live in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

Georgia Hickey Retires

Georgia Hickey has retired after 18 years as an equine facilities designer and sales representative with King.  She will complete the projects she has begun, and will be working with King as a consultant on an ad hoc basis.

During her 18 years, Georgia teamed with King to design and complete more than 140 barns, indoor arenas and outbuildings of all sizes, including 20 major equestrian facilities.

A lifelong horse owner and successful breeder and exhibitor, Georgia’s horses have won many championships and high-point awards at state, regional and national levels.  She was the founder and former director of the Equine Studies program at Cazenovia College and a former national director for a major breed organization.

Georgia is looking forward to spending more time with her horses and Welsh ponies, and has two young hunter pony prospects that will be coming to the ring soon.
